The WordPress admin dashboard is the area where you can control the capabilities of your site. It is also known as the WP admin or WordPress dashboard.

This area of the dashboard is the spot where you are able to: create new posts or pages, choose which theme your site uses, install and work with plugins, change general settings, etc. WordPress is easy to use, free to use, search engine friendly, and has a lot of adaptability. The Dashboard screen presents information in blocks called widgets. By default, WordPress delivers five widgets on this page: At a Glance, Activity, Quick Draft, WordPress Events and News, and Welcome.

How To Access The WordPress Admin Dashboard

Your WordPress admin dashboard is usually located at: https://yoursite.com/wp-admin. If you’re already logged into WordPress, you’ll be able to access your dashboard right away by visiting that URL.

Otherwise, WordPress will redirect you to the WordPress dashboard login page, which is usually located at: https://yoursite.com/wp-login.php.

Features of Dashboard

• Upper Navigation Bar: This is the black bar with white text running across the top of the screen when you’re logged into your admin section.
• Activity Log: Shows most recent posts with title of post, when it was posted, and who posted it.
• Site Health Status: Shows you the current health of the site. Lets you know how many issues and brings you to a new page to see them.
• The Media Library: Hosts all the files used to build your WordPress site, such as your images and videos.
• Import/Export data
