As of this year, Facebook has over 2.2 billion active users. The platform covers a wide range of people but provides tools to help you target a specific demographic depending on your company’s goods or services. Facebook also allows you to boost your content to help ensure you are getting in front of the right people.
Instagram currently has over 1 billion users. According to Sprout Social, about 59% are between the ages of 18-29, 33% are 30-49, 18% are 50-64 and 8% are users who are 65+. Instagram would be a great tool to use if your target audience falls under the 19-34 age group and the content you are sharing is especially visually appealing.
With 365 million users worldwide, Twitter can influence buying decisions. Twitter provided a study showing that 41% of people purchased products they were exposed to through a Twitter ad in the last 30 days.

If you are looking to target people between the ages of 18-34 Youtube is a great platform to utilize but it is also important to keep in mind that Youtube does attract users from a variety of age groups. Youtube is a great method for sharing tutorial content. You can create videos with influencers to promote products that may require a little more explanation to potential customers.
