As many of you may know, the World Health Organization has officially declared 2020 the International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife. We are incredibly thankful to all the men and women who have dedicated their lives to taking care of others. Nurses and midwives are the backbone of our healthcare systems and make up nearly half of the global health workforce.
However, according to WHO, our world needs 9 million more nurses and midwives if we want to achieve universal health coverage by 2030. That is why we are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Seed Global Health and help design a website that highlights amazing nurses and midwives from all over the world. It is their leadership that will influence change in our healthcare policy.
