James Shiner
CEO & Founder
James has had a passion for building websites since he first saw the web in the 90’s and entrepreneurship even longer. Although he’s had a number of startups, two of which were successful exits, his web design agency has always been a primary focus. When Yelling Mule was formed in 2010 it was a merger of his original company Northie Interactive and another web design company. James is passionate about transparency in business and has been a board member for the Better Business Bureau since 2015.
When James isn’t working (his friends and family may say this is rare) he can be found on a golf course or spending time with said friends and family at the lake.
Nicki Haylon
Creative Director & Partner
Nicki has had a love of graphic and web design ever since the day of Geocities sites and Dreamweaver. After studying Graphic Design in college, she spent her early career working at a number of startup companies and learning how to code. After running a successful freelance business for a few years, Nicki joined the Yelling Mule team as a Senior Web Designer in 2016. In 2018, she was promoted to Creative Director & Partner and enjoys working with James to build Yelling Mule as a company, manages a team of designers, interfaces with clients, and still gets very involved in the design and development of every project YM works on.
Outside of work, Nicki is the captain of an ultimate frisbee team and performs improv comedy. She loves board games, beer, and baseball (Nicki and her brother have season tickets to the Sox!).
Mike Arsenault
VP Sales & Accounts
Mike is VP of Sales & Accounts here at Yelling Mule. He has had a passion for sales and business development from an early age. In college he studied business management and has run 30+ person sales teams throughout his career. What excites him most about his role here is being able to work with clients and companies from all different industries and having an impact on their online presence and helping their businesses grow. He is a huge believer in processes and systems which is he feels is pertinent to running a successful sales team or department.
In his off time you can find Mike with his game face on playing hockey, watching the Bruins, Patriots and Red Sox, or being way too upset over a fantasy football loss. Other than obsessing over sports, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and newest member of the family, his daughter Addison.
Katelyn Shannon
Marketing Account Director
Katelyn has always had a passion for following trends, especially those centered around marketing. For college, she attended The University of Alabama (Roll Tide) for both undergrad and graduate school. After receiving her Master’s Degree in Marketing, Katelyn made the move back to her home state of Massachusetts. As the Marketing Account Director at Yelling Mule, Katelyn works closely with clients to help increase their digital presence through a number of different methods including content creation, copywriting, social media development and management. Her main focus is helping businesses identify and achieve the marketing goals they have set out to obtain.
When Katelyn is not in the office, she is exploring new restaurants, rooting on the Patriots and Alabama (Roll Tide) or trying to decide what concert she wants to go to next.
Lindsey Clark
Senior Web Designer
Ever since I was young art has always been a passion of mine. After growing up in a small town in New Jersey and wanting a city vibe, I moved to Boston for college to study graphic design. Thankfully, throughout college I continued to fall deeper in love with art and design. While in college I also found a new interest in creating and informing the public, so here are we today. Now more mature and apt, I help my clients tell and share their stories with the world through art and design.
Katie Naum
Web Designer
Katie has always had a passion for creativity, art and pushing the boundaries of unique designs. Originally from Maine, she made the move to Boston, Massachusetts for college and then truly became a Bostonian. She attended Lasell University for her undergraduate with a degree in Graphic Design and later received her Master’s Degree in Interactive Media Design from Northeastern University. As a Web Designer at Yelling Mule, Katie works closely with clients and the design team to create a number of different assets including content creation, motion graphics, social media, websites, and adding to the branding portfolio of YM. Her main focus is helping businesses identify and achieve their branding and goals they have set out to obtain.
When Katie is not in the office, she is jet setting around the world currently rounding out her 5th continent! She enjoys relaxing with her four legged sidekick Lola, skiing in the mountains, or curating vintage style art, music & fashion pieces for her collection.
Scott Shiner
Accounts Manager
After graduating from Saint Anselm College in 2014, Scott spent time working in Charlestown, MA before joining Yelling Mule in the fall of 2018.
Scott is an avid golfer and athlete after attending Lawrence Academy at Groton where he was the captain of the hockey & baseball teams and graduated in 2010.
Outside of work, you can find him attending Patriots and Bruins games or enjoying family time at Newfound Lake in the summers on the boat, golfing, and wake-boarding.
